I don’t know why I get so upset over this stuff. Humanity suffered the “Dark Ages” and somehow worked out of them thanks to the Renaissance. In my opinion, the next renaissance won’t be led by humans but by artificial intelligence. We have hit an evolutionary ceiling, pushed there by technology and our lost inability to process truth. Now, we are choosing the easy way out rather than solving pressing complex problems.
Trump has mastered the Il Duce look. I have noticed that since the election, he has begun wearing almost exclusively black suits, a long black wool overcoat offset by Nazi flag red ties. It’s a very disconcerting fashion statement, given what we know about the plans of the little Nazis coalescing around him. The suits and Trump’s stupid Il-Duce look aren’t the kinds of things that warm the heart and turn cheeks ruby-red from gay laughter. Trump is trying to be ominous because he is an evil person whose grip on cogent thoughts is waining.
This is at least what the Russians feel. They are cautiously happy that Trump has returned to the White House. They think it will allow Putin to save Russia from caving in on itself.
Ahead of any talks, the Kremlin is carefully assessing Trump’s messaging, ambitions and vulnerabilities, while remaining wary of his unpredictability. Trump’s weaknesses, according to Russian analysts, include geopolitical naivety, a short attention span and a propensity to rely on gut not brain.
“Trump deliberately keeps silent, I think, because he doesn’t know,” said Konstantin Remchukov, editor of Nezavisimaya Gazeta. “We saw his campaign. He’s not a profound thinker on geopolitical stuff (Trump-Putin Relations Enter a New Chapter).”
The world is returning to the era of the black-suited cowards. Vladimir Putin is a thieving, murderous coward who has irritable bowel syndrome because he is so afraid of being killed by someone — anyone — around him. His paranoia of being killed is so great that he won’t take chewing gum from his kids if they offer it. Once, a general on Red Square offered him and Dimitry Medvedev a piece. Medvedev took it, opened the stick, and popped it into his mouth. Putin looked at Medvedev like he had two heads and just smirked.
Putin, a man now happy that Donald Trump has returned to the White House because he is what the Kremlin kindly calls a “dumbass,” challenged the West via Kyiv to a duel of deadly technologies yesterday.
“Let them propose … some kind of technological experiment — a kind of high-tech duel of the 21st century,” Putin said at his news conference. “Let them determine some target to be hit — for example in Kyiv, they concentrate all their air and missile defense forces there, and we will strike there with the Oreshnik. And we’ll see what happens.”
Putin added: “We will conduct such an experiment, such a technological duel, and see what happens. It’s interesting (Russia Launches Massive Missile Strike).”
This morning, parts of central Kyiv were turned into a parking lot. I repeat it: Putin and his killers are happy Trump is back in office. This is not a good thing for Ukraine. It is not a good thing for any of us. Donald Trump wants to end 248 years of a free and independent press in our country.
Putin has no tolerance for Western liberalism — foreign leaders who lecture him on Russian repression and universal values such as human rights. In Trump, he sees a similar ruthless cynic.
That could be an advantage as he seeks to forge Russia into a global power in a new multipolar world order without human rights values, where global giants divide up the map and trade away weaker nations’ sovereignty (Trump-Putin Relations Enter a New Chapter).
In the meantime, the world is asking where is “Waldo” (Elon)?
Musk has become a co-president, and Congress can do nothing about it but just smile and wave.
2025 already looks like a bleak and unforgiving year.
Black is the new black, and it portends major events for humanity.
