Don't Miss Your Chance to Get a Melania Trump Memorial Day Medallion
The Trumps are worse than convenience store owners in inner-city neighborhoods.
Without having ever been in this corner store, most of us already know what we would find inside. There is an ATM that charges a minimum of $5 for every withdrawal. Strips of scratch-offs hang behind a plexiglass-enclosed wall that protects the cashier, who speaks heavily accented English, and the prices on all highly-processed fast and junk food and cheap alcohol items between 30 and 50 percent more expensive than at a shop in a middle-class, suburban neighborhood.
Sociologists and economists have long written about the disconnect between local corner shops in poor, inner-city neighborhoods and the residents they serve. Many residents complain that the immigrant owners gauge them on prices and sell the low-quality goods they do to maximize margins further.
Because many of the residents are trapped and cannot travel to the cheaper, better-stocked supermarkets, they are forced to spend the little money they have and food stamps in the shops. When tensions rise, the corner shop often becomes the target for fed-up residents, resulting in broken windows and looted shops. As some owners of these stores explain, their costs are higher because they need to pay for added security and repairs after incidents of looting. Many, however, regard the owners as grifters looking to make a quick buck on the backs of a trapped clientele.
The truth about inner-city convenience stores falls somewhere in the middle, but there is no middle when it comes to the Trump family. It’s pure, 100 percent, made-in-America, and now Slovenia, grift.
Meet the medallion. The Slovenia-born, former high-priced escort and wife of ex-president Donald Trump is hawking a gold-plated medallion from her Fortitude Collection for $175 and a stainless steel one for $125. Just in time for this year’s Memorial Day, the collection has been created to “celebrate our service members, our Nation, and our freedom.”
Donald Trump regularly and openly mocked our veterans during his presidency. He called service members who had been captured by the enemy “losers.” The idea that this abomination and his wife, the worst and most self-serving first lady we ever had in our history, are pushing these crappy pendants onto Americans who are one missed payment away from being homeless is sickening.
But it’s par for the course, nonetheless, and every lunatic supporting Trump will think that this, too, is normal and even funny. The idea that a criminal grifter is hawking “Trump Bibles” and now these medallions shows us yet again just what all of this is about for Trump. The 40 million who consider themselves hardcore MAGidiots are like the trapped inner-city residents forced to pay $5 for half a gallon of milk. But whereas the residents of inner-cities have no other choice and, indeed, are being manipulated and abused by greedy owners, the MAGidiots and Trumpists are conned and manipulated partly by their own ignorance.
It is well beyond my understanding of human psychology to explain how or why anyone would think that anything Trump does or says is honorable or selfless.
This is the first piece of crap jewelry that Melania is selling.
Last month, the 54-year-old unveiled $245 Mother’s Day necklaces, which were ridiculed and criticized by former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham.
CNN’s Erin Burnett reportedly asked Grisham, as per Raw Story, “Nothing on the website suggests that the money raised is going to charity or anything like that. Do you have any sense what she could be selling the jewelry for? Is this just money for herself? …To raise money for the legal defense?”
She replied, “I tried not to laugh at the thought that she would be raising money for his defense. That’s not going to be it (The Grift Continues).”
However, one of the greatest marketing strategies I have ever seen will again come into play here. Every time Trump or anyone in his family does anything as lowly and disgraceful, such as drag the honor of our vets through the dirt to wring a few more bucks out of the MAGidiot suckers, MAGidiots take no offense at all but rather toss money at the shit as like they had hit it big on a few scratch-offs.
I don’t doubt Melania will sell a few million dollars worth of these disgusting medallions. When the proud owners die — God forbid — after following some great medical advice from Trump (bleach), those medallions will be buried with them.
Jump ahead 10,000 years: Archeologists have been finding gold-plated medallions from a time when war was the standard practice for resolving differences. It is assumed that the excavated bodies were worn on the bodies of great warriors. The Trumps will even be fooling future humans long into the future.
