It's Both Disgusting and Wonderful That Lara Trump Now Heads the Republican National Party
Trump places daughter-in-law in charge of RNC coffers to pay his legal bills.

As Donald Trump struggles to find money to cover the penalties from his various recent legal defeats, he barely scratched together $91 million to cover a fine for raping a woman in a Manhattan dressing room years ago, the keys to the bank vault were handed over to him last week. Lara Trump, the wife of his son Eric, has taken over the Republican National Committee.
Former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, has now officially replaced Ronna McDaniel as the new co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) following a unanimous vote.
Despite having no previous campaign or political organizing experience, Lara — who is the wife of the former president’s son, Eric — is now in charge of the Republican Party’s national organization and is tasked with both retaking the White House in 2024 and regaining control of the US Senate (No Point Donating Now).
Who said nepotism doesn’t pay off? One of the first things Ms. Trump proclaimed from her new position atop America’s fascist party was for Republicans to start writing checks to help their beloved dictator-wannabe pay his legal bills. The new RNC head threatened that if loyal MAGidiots didn’t want to help the ex-president, then the Party wouldn’t need them.
Not all of the MAGidiots liked being treated like the suckers Trump sees them as. The millions who follow him and come to watch his stream-of-barely-consciousness rants about how long it takes to wash his hair (Trump recently spent 10 minutes telling a crowd how he washes his “glorious locks”) have been regarded by Trump himself as an assortment of odd “trailer people.” As reported in the recent book Landslide by Michael Wolff, Trump regularly mocks his most loyal fans and can’t get over the ridiculous outfits they wear. While many of those not-so-well-off suckers will continue to forgo their scratch-offs to send Trump $10 a month, some are rebelling.
One user who considers herself very conservative wrote:
“We are NOT paying for Trump’s legal bills. Lara Trump was clear, everyone get on board with paying his legal or she will kick you out of the GOP. Well kick me out then! This is absolutely disgusting,” she wrote. “We used to be fiscal conservatives.”
Heath Mayo, the founder of the Principles First conference (which bills itself as an alternative to the far-right Conservative Political Action Conference) lamented that the GOP “is now run by a Trump who will use the party finances to pay Donald’s legal bills,” and added he couldn’t fathom “how any serious person could want to be part of that, much less think we ought to let those same folks run our country, too (No Point Donating Now).”
Republicans less concerned about the milking of Trump’s suckers are fearful for more practical reasons. What is to prevent Lara Trump from pumping most of the money donated now to the RNC into Trump’s “re-election” coffers, which means to cover his personal and legal fees? If Trump views this election as potentially the last one for him, what can now stop him from maximizing profit for himself and his kids?
If that is the route he chooses, and given his past as a fraudster and grifter, we should expect that it will be the one, then Republicans all across the country will be starved of support for their own campaigns. It is not hard to imagine how the “Boss” will expect the weekly white envelopes stuffed with cash to slide across tables folded up in newspapers. Tribute to the Donald will be paid, or the consequences will be real: No envelope, no endorsement by Trump. No envelope, Trump bad-mouthes you to the MAGidiots.
Trump’s complete control is good for Democrats and yet another example of how utterly sick, weak, and corrupt the Republican Party has become. It is time to rid America of this virus.
From your mouth to God's ears. Lord have mercy🙏🏼
