MAGidiots and Trumps Call the US a '3rd World Sh*t Hole' Country
If only they knew how just right they were, and it's not because Uncle Donald was found guilty.
Many Republicans, who are nowadays indistinguishable from Trumpists and MAGidots, have decided that because Donald Trump was found guilty of crimes he committed, the country has become a “third world shit hole,” to quote the esteemed ex-president who when explaining why he was against immigration (“Too many people coming to the U.S. from third world shit hole countries”).
The irony in this interpretation of what our nation has become thanks to the judicial system coming through in a pinch and demonstrating that justice is still — for the most part — blind and no one is above the law is undoubtedly lost on every one of those bozos.
Donald Trump Jr., the eldest child of former President Trump, borrowed a phrase from his dad after the former president was found guilty of 34 felony counts in a Manhattan courtroom Thursday, slamming Democrats for trying to turn the country into a “s‑‑‑hole.”
“The Democrats have succeeded in their years long attempt to turn America into a third-world s‑‑‑hole,” he posted on the social platform X. “November 5 is our last chance to save it (Don Jr. Calls US).”
Everything the Trump family did while Donald was in office was characteristic of the third-world banana republics that these privileged racists so hate. If it wasn’t Ivanka showing up at luncheons with heads of state and offering them advice based on her years of well-earned experience, then it was the rest of the family members taking over many of the positions surrounding the president, thus creating a governing mafia.
The reaction to Trump’s loss in 2020 was what we could expect in a third-world country struggling to find its way; though, it was not the kind of reaction one would expect from the world’s most powerful nation. MAGidiots, which probably number anywhere between 30 and 50 million and representing the most hardcore of the cultists, actually outnumber many of the more traditional “third world, shit hole” nations Trump precisely identified with the eye of a world traveler. 50 million Americans hang on Trump’s every word in a baffling, even sick display of a personality cult. As one MAGidiot recently said in an interview at a Trump rally, “If the president decides to become a dictator, then that’s okay. I will still love him.”
The outraged Trump supporters fail to understand that the simple fact that Trump was tried and convicted speaks to the opposite of their accusations now. It is an example of a functioning democracy when a criminal, who happens to be an ex-president, is tried and found guilty. Nonetheless, as they go about repeating Trump’s infamous comments made when he was president and running for re-election, the president of a first-world country should never engage in such rhetoric.
Even before they became embroiled in a blistering campaign battle in 2020, Biden chided Trump for his “s-hole countries” remarks.
“It’s not how a president should speak. It’s not how a president should behave. Most of all, it’s not what a president should believe,” Biden, who would go on to launch his presidential campaign a year later, wrote on social media at the time. “We’re better than this (Don Jr. Calls US).”
There are many parts of the United States that are indeed third-world. They are even worse in some metrics: infant mortality rates in some parts of the Deep Southern states of Mississippi and Alabama, and others are nearing fourth-world levels. The voter suppression laws and gerrymandering are also turning swatches of America into a less-than-modern, less-than-democratic — even “shitty” — direction. All of these states and communities, however, happen to be run by Republicans, by Trumpists.
There is one thing, however, that Trumpists do dislike more than anything, and that is why they are reacting this way to the verdict: They hate accountability for one’s actions when it comes to white people. In their world, a white man being found guilty in court is a valid reason to see how the country might be going to hell in a handbasket.
It is "we", us who have allowed our country to come to a point where 50m believe we are shit holes. The military industrial complex, Viet Nam, watergate, Iran-Contra, Afghanistan, Iraq, Trump. We never learn to expose the lies and learn the lesson. Trump may lose or die but we are on the road to perdition.
