Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS): 'Putin Is a War Criminal and Should Be Executed'
Some Republicans are expressing themselves the right way, but will they vote to continue support for Ukraine?
Senator Wicker is the Chairman of the Armed Services Committee. He has the power to stop the sale of our national interest to Russia. If Wicker decides that the U.S. should continue to support Ukraine, then well, the mess begins. Neither will the House won’t approve it, nor will Trump sign it. However, while not helping Ukraine, the symbolic value demonstrates to Russia that their purchase of our foreign policy is not final.
If the U.S. Senate proves to the world that it is ready to wake up and begin governing in the manner the Found Fathers envisioned, then we might be able to declare this moment “Day 1 of the resistance.” Now, I am under no illusion that most (99 percent) of the Republican senators are always going to support anything Trump does, but showing just the tiniest hint of independence — and pushback against the unfolding coup — could serve to hasten the frying of a few more brain cells in Trump’s dementia-struggling brain and move us ever closer to that day when he keels over on the bugger-laden “Resolute Desk” — an actual independence day, for sure. (I don’t think people are ready to give Vance the same kind of cult worship they give to Trump.)
The most frustrating thing about what is taking place in our country today is not that Trump is doing this — if you weren’t in a coma or asleep from 2017 to January 20th, 2025, then you had to know he would act this way — but that so many who could prevent him from being successful at ending our democracy and aligning us with the Kremlin, are sitting on their hands. Deathly afraid of the “tyranny of the mob,” one harnessed and ready to charge thanks to the ubiquitous “giddyups” from alien Musk, the few Republicans with any institutional memory of the Republican Party of yesteryear cower instead in the Senate barber shop.
Trump is empowered by his cult and surrounded by a mob of misfits and criminals who wouldn’t be brave enough to say no to him even if he was threatening to execute their own children. “Well, I got four, so sure, King Donald, you can take that one. He’s too young anyway to know any better.” The cowards and traitors around him will one day pay for their treason, but until then, we rely on people like the dishonorable Senator Wicker. I don’t know much about him, but I am more than confident if he is a white conservative from Mississippi, then he is a racist with whom I have zero in common.
Until now. This is how bad Donald Trump is. I am happy to ally with a conservative, white senator from Mississippi. If it means saving our country and making sure we don’t ever align with the evil that is the Kremlin, then I am ready to even go to a squirrel roast and bark like a Mississippi hunting dog.
