The Dust Continues to Settle on Tucker's Putin Fiasco
Russian president admits to genocide and Carlson's face remained frozen in his standard 'I think something just entered my butt' grimace.
In a terrifically boring rant that kicked off the Tucker-Vlad Summit ’24 in Moscow last week, the Russian president told a child’s fairytale about world history that most children would be smart enough to realize was a pure crock of nonsense. Embarrassed because even he seemed to realize Putin was mocking us all with this flashy lie, Carlson offered no pushback when the Russian dictator admitted to committing genocide against the Ukrainian nation.
Putin’s cherry-picked history is a mighty tasty and sweet one if you are a Russian. All of world history, pretty much since the moment man discovered fire after a lightning storm, our hairy and less cultivated ancestors have been plotting against “poor little Russia.” Overall, the interview was a great big moment when you want to either offer up a “Wah” to Putin; or, put your arms around the pint-sized dictator and take pity on him.
Carlson, however, just sat and let the gross inaccuracies plow their way on the record for posterity. Thankfully, for us, though, and not so for Russia and the Kremlin, Putin’s rambling tale of world history is a clear-cut admission for future war crimes trials. If you had managed to block out the whoosh of the wind as you zoom along on Putin’s rollercoaster through history, then you might have heard that Russia does not accept the existence of a Ukrainian people. It denies that there is a separate Ukrainian culture and so regards anyone claiming to be Ukrainian or of that mindset to be an enemy of Russia and worthy of destruction.
If you look at the text of the interview, you will see that on the few occasions that Carlson was actually speaking, he wasn’t offering pushback to Putin’s lies but rather adding crazy to the narrative. Here is one example.
Tucker Carlson: Yes. But here is a question you may be able to answer. You worked in Germany, famously. The Germans clearly know that their NATO partner did this, that they damaged their economy greatly — it may never recover. Why are they being silent about it? That is very confusing to me. Why wouldn’t the Germans say something about it (Full Text Transcript)?
When did the U.S. destroy the German economy? During WWII, of course, all the Allies did, but what the U.S. rebuilt after the war turned West Germany into the economic powerhouse Germany is today — despite the ruined East German part.
I know there is no way to punish Tucker Carlson other than to speak ill of him as the propagandist he is. Regrettably, millions of Americans, Tucker fans, will watch — are watching — this Hitleresque rant that fully and completely justifies the removal of Ukraine, its traditions, language, and culture from the face of the earth.
Putin, with the tacit acceptance of Tucker Carlson, “proved” to the world that his war was a righteous one. The people claiming to be Ukrainians should be pitied because the United States is using them to destroy Russia. Russia, as Putin tells us, is merely defending its right to exist, and as part of that right, it must wipe away the people claiming to be Ukrainian because they are nothing but Nazis and terrorists seeking to destroy Russia.
You know, when it gets laid out like that, so succinctly, in such historically accurate detail, I think Putin might be right.
Golly, good job, Tucker, and thank you for again bringing us the truth.
And this is how the Tucker-Vlad Summit ’24 is going to win over Americans to the “real truth.”
I am sure Tucker understands the need to destroy Nazis… Even though he did criticise the US for bombing Germany in WW2… oh well, he said he was an entertainer didnt he? But 2 hour of this is maybe a little boring. Wonder how his ratings are.
