Trump Confirms Plans for Fascist Cleansing if Re-Elected
Channeling the plans of Nazi Germany, no one should doubt anymore what is in store for us if he regains power
Native American chiefs used to eat the lice their wives picked off their bodies by their wives. George Washington advised people that a cultured person should not kill any vermin found on their body — fleas and lice — in front of others. Shortly after Washington penned those words, the world’s wealthy became obsessed with killing all vermin.
The hunt for vermin has, since the 17th century, been an all-out pursuit by civilized society. It became such an obsession that a struggling artist from Braunau am Inn, Austria, set out to find the human vermin in German society. The result was the systematic and violent ending of life for nearly 11 million civilians (just under six million of Jewish descent and five million non-Jewish).
Fearing that some of us might forget about the hunt for human vermin in the 1930s and 40s, Donald Trump reminded the world that his mission to uphold the gold standard set by Adolf Hitler is true:
On Saturday at 10:25 a.m., he posted on Truth Social: “In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran’s Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American dream.”
Then, at a rally in New Hampshire later that day, he repeated those words essentially verbatim — promising to “root out … the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country” — and doubled down on it: “The real threat is not from the radical right; the real threat is from the radical left, and it’s growing every day, every single day. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave than the threat from within. Our threat is from within (Trump Is Now Using Straight-Up Nazi Talk).”
Trump has made no efforts to walk back these words. In the past, his advisors or campaign officials would offer lame excuses about how “He was just joking;” or “He didn’t really understand what he was saying.” Not understanding what he was saying was the excuse many Jewish Germans used when they chose not to emigrate in 1933 when Hitler ascended to power. The images created by Hitler’s words were so horrific that no civilized or sane mind could conceive that a society like Germany could succumb. By 1935, Jews in Germany were legally excluded from society. All that remained was the physical extermination.
Trump’s campaign, however, did walk back the words of their fuhrer.
Former President Donald J. Trump’s campaign rejected criticism that he was echoing the language of fascist dictators with his vow to root out his political opponents like “vermin,” then doubled down: It said on Monday that the “sad, miserable existence” of those who made such comparisons would be “crushed” with Mr. Trump back in the White House.
“Those who try to make that ridiculous assertion are clearly snowflakes grasping for anything because they are suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, said, “and their sad, miserable existence will be crushed when President Trump returns to the White House (Trump Campaign Warns Its Critics).”
They walked those words right back to one of the many Nazi rallies held in big German beer halls like Munich’s Hofbrauhaus.
Our “sad, miserable existence will be crushed when President Trump returns to the White House” is how the campaign spokesman so historically and concisely put it. No, we have nothing to worry about at all. History has shown us that such rhetoric is usually empty.
Many Trump supporters, like my brother, will refer to our “obsession” with all things Trump or “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” as they call it. They can rationalize his words and behavior because they think we are perversely obsessed with Trump. If you have ever asked a Trump supporter how they can continue to back him even after all that we know about January 6th, they laugh and call it a “bunch of tourists peacefully site seeing.” Then, the inevitable comparison with the riots during the summer of 2020 when Black Lives Matter protestors clashed with white racists comes: “That was the real insurrection,” they say.
Anyone planning to vote for Trump in 2024 and he will be nominated is a fascist and an enemy of our nation. They should be treated as such. There can be no let-up in the media, in our hearts, and most importantly, we must push back at every opportunity. We are not Russia, a society filled with weakness that accepts its nation’s fascist revolution by shrugging its collective shoulders — “Well, what can I do? I am just one person.” We are still the United States of America and can fight against these evil forces.
Sadly, however, it seems that violence won’t be avoided.
