Trump Has Given Us So Many Communications Rallying Points
And what have Democrats done with them? Absolutely nothing!
A rallying point in the military is an agreed-upon location where troops gather to consolidate their resources, regroup, and launch a renewed attack or effect a retreat. When I was training to become a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army, I admit that I found much of the training to be boring. Each of us had to take turns leading the platoon through the creation of the battle plan to its fulfillment. A lot of time was spent lying about in the woods of Fort Dix and then Fort Bragg while the training unfolded.
One element, however, that I understood better than anything else was the concept of the rallying point. Having served in the military before joining ROTC at Rutgers, I knew that the best-laid plans always — 99.9 percent of the time — fell through and required real-time adjustments.
Because officer cadets are being graded not just on the success of their battle plans but on how they react to the changing environment — and confident that my battle plan was likely to be subpar because I so bored by the training — I knew how vital a good rallying point would be for the troops I was leading. The moment things started to collapse around us, I would signal for everyone to regroup at the rallying point. Somehow, when all the textbook requirements were out the window and we were permitted to be more creative, I would always be able to lead the rest of the team successfully. It was like I had to be on the brink of failure to succeed.
Democrats are there, and with them, so are the rest of us — on the brink of failure. The thing is, we shouldn’t be here. Donald Trump and the Republicans have made it easy for us in terms of messaging, and so far, we have not done anything with this advantage. Each time Trump opens his mouth and makes a new threat to our Constitutional order, each is creating for us “communications’ rallying points.” These are the tools I utilized throughout my career in Russia while building companies, brands, and communication strategies.
Just this week, Trump purposely and strategically let it be known that he wants to serve a third term. He said this for obvious reasons. This week marks the launch of his so-called “Liberation Day,” during which he proposes imposing devastating tariffs on many of our allies. Trump has effectively drawn attention away from the Signal chat debacle, and fewer people are paying attention to the notion of how tariffs will wreck the economy. Corporate media, like an obedient doggie, is talking about the 22nd Amendment and its loopholes, and Democrats in need of seeing themselves on TV are lining up to get out there and talk about them.
I gaurantee Trump is lauching his ass off each time he sees the dummies wasting precious airtime on this matter. By 2028, Trump will be going through 2 diapers an hour. He’s not running for anything but the bathroom.
RALLYING POINT: Trump Threatens to Shred the Constitution in His Attempt to Become America’s First Dictator!
Why haven’t Democrats put out such a “slogan” out there — out into the ether? Why are Republicans so effing efficient at turning all rational thought upside down, eviscerating it of reason only to stuff again with rancid emotion?
Democrats trip over themselves to justify, not to offend, to include every color, size, gender, and non-gender before ever uttering a single word. And when they finally do start to talk, they are so wonky and boring that you want to heave yourself off a bridge to no longer have to listen to them going on about nothing. CNN has spent hours this week both legitimizing Trump’s wish to serve for a third term and rationalizing it for him. What I took away from a CNN segment today was that “It’s okay if Trump did that.”
I should have taken away the above: Trump Threatens to Shred the Constitution in His Attempt to Become America’s First Dictator!
The Signal debacle was so atrocious that it was creating a message without anyone guiding it. Nonetheless, the moment it began to fade, Democrats should have had a new rallying point.
RALLYING POINT: Putin likely knew of the U.S. assault on Yemen before President Trump and Congressional leaders did!
Neither is this statement a lie, nor is it provable by us, but it is highly possible, given the whereabouts of one of the participants, Steve Witkoff, in the chat.
You are beginning to get my point.
Anti-DOGE rhetoric has been everywhere, but many Republicans, even ones who the DOGE hatchet job has victimized, are remaining supportive. The blatant lies swirling around DOGE’s efforts to gut Social Security have worked, and most M’gidiots aren’t aware how in danger Social Security really is — but it is!
RALLYING POINT: Republicans Agree to Gut Social Security. Plan to Close Offices and End Over-the-Phone Assistance.
This message should be displayed prominently across the sky at outdoor sporting events and on handouts stuck under windshields in NASCAR and Walmart parking lots. Every recipient of Social Security should be losing sleep.
RALLYING POINT: Soon, DOGE and President Trump will end your Social Security benefits. Get a good night sleep while you still can.
This should be a paid political advertisement during the evening shows.
Okay. You get my drift. The last two months have been a communications professional’s dream come true. Forget the baby; the candy we keep stumbling upon is being dropped from the skies 24/7.
And what have Democrats been doing with it? Next to nothing otherwise known as 0.0.
Some are active and making noise, but nowhere near enough.
