Trump's 'Grab them by the P****' Comment Comes Back to Haunt Him
They were between 10 and 12-years-old then, and now millions of them are hearing Trump's 'rapey' words for the first time.
No, they really don’t “let you do anything,” but people feel intimidated by the presence of someone they have seen many times on TV or in the movies. They lose themselves and sometimes fear offending the “star” by saying something as wild as, “Please stop touching my p****, Mr. Trump.”
“Please, please, call me ‘the Donald.’ Now get over here let me kiss you, you hot thing, you.”
That’s how it went — and probably still goes — in Trump’s world. Just hearing that tape about how he bragged to Billy Bush about his exploits over the years pretty much proves that the reports of sexual misconduct and rape in his past were not lies made up by women seeking paydays. They were victims who, after many years of “dealing with his crimes,” were finally ready to speak up. It boggles the mind that this man not only became president after this tape but how many women in America, how many holy-roller Christians, regard him as both the savior of our nation and Christianity.
The tape stunned many of us eight years ago, and many thought it was the nail in the insurgency of Trump’s campaign. The next day, Russia released the stolen emails from the hacked DNC servers. A little while later, dope-of-the-century James Comey reopened the investigation of Hillary Clinton — days before the election. His election interference was unprecedented and remains so today. Blame Clinton all you want for having run a poor campaign, but Comey’s announcement of reopening the investigation was a wooden stake driven through her heart.
While many of us back then were disgusted by Trump’s comments, the moment the “kiddies” entered the room, everyone stopped talking about the tape. People began whispering, and even the mainstream media refused to play the full video for fear of upsetting many of the God-fearing, morally-balanced viewers. The irony, though, was that even though those people ended up hearing what Trump said, they still cast votes for the rapist.
Like “good parents and citizens,” though, we spared the kiddies from hearing the reprehensible words of that “bad man. “ That bad man nonetheless became president. The kiddies today are finally now hearing the bad man’s words and how they were spoken.
“I don’t think any of my friends had heard it,” said Kate Sullivan, a 21-year-old student in Ohio who heard the tape for the first time on her TikTok For You feed this week. “We all felt equally shocked.”
People her age have less tolerance for sexual misconduct after growing up amid a series of high-profile harassment and assault cases involving major celebrities, Sullivan said. She immediately felt compelled to share the audio in her own video, with the superimposed text, “Fathers are voting for this man.” The video has been viewed 2.5 million times and was reshared by singer Billie Eilish to her 68 million followers.
Brigid Quinn, a 15-year-old in Georgia, knew that Trump had been accused of making sexist comments, she said. But she had never heard the words he actually said — including the ‘grab them by the pussy’ quote. She “didn’t understand how people thought this was normal (Trump’s ‘Grab Them’ Comment Was History).”
Our generation should be ashamed — not you and me and the legions of us who have always been against Trump — but the other half of the country that finds this repulsive, raping fascist to be such a brave and honorable man. A young woman interviewed for the article asked her followers on TikTok how their fathers could look their daughters in the eyes after falling for such a morally sick man. She should also be posing that question to the mothers.
Millions of these kids will be voting for the first time. The views of many will be shaped by their parents. If their parents are Trump supporters, then the background music of their lives has been Fox News. It will be very hard to deprogram these kids, and one recording proving how vile Trump is will break the spell they are under. Nevertheless, it is a start, and maybe some of them, maybe thousands of them, will cast a vote for Ms. Harris, and perhaps that will be enough to send Donald Trump once and for all to the place he belongs: Prison.
Let us pray for our nation and that these kids do the right thing, the easy thing. The thing we failed to do eight years ago.
