Your expressions of anger and disgust are somewhat cathartic. One bloodbath after another has somewhat desensitized me from feeling emotional when news of another public mass assassination of innocent Americans, going about their business, takes place. We’re approaching a “wild west” scenario in every American city, where common sense is starting to tell us to “Stay the fuck home!” More and more nations are telling their citizens that travel to the US is something to avoid because of the random slaughter of people doing what people do.
I think that sadly in some parts of our country people feel completely free to resort to guns knowing that, most likely they will get off thanks to the pro-gun stance of our country.
Alcohol and other mind altering substances play a sizable role. Mixing poverty, guns and substance abuse makes men (not women, in general) violent if they are convinced that they are victims, trying to fight back. Sadly, at a time when much of the world is awash with killing weapons, the worlds armament manufacturers are working overtime producing more killing devices and ammunition. It’s all being produced to ultimately be used to kill or maim.
